HR CERTIFICATION CENTRE CELEBRATES WELLNESS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WITH ANNUAL CORPORATES WALK FOR LIFE

On Wednesday, 1st May 2024, under the motivating theme "Keep Moving", the HR Certification Centre, in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG), successfully hosted its annual 'Corporates Walk for Life.' This significant event, aimed at promoting physical activity, health, wellness, and networking among corporate professionals, marked another milestone in advocating for a healthy lifestyle amidst the challenges of corporate responsibilities.

Despite the early morning rains, the walk saw enthusiastic participation with 190 corporate professionals. They were transported with jubilant energy to Ayi-Mensah, the starting point of a spirited 7km walk to Bendu Village. The event featured camaraderie, lively music, and an engaging aerobics session at the end of the walk, making for a refreshing blend of fun and fitness.

The event was not just about physical activity but also served as a platform for raising awareness about the risks associated with sedentary lifestyles, especially within the corporate sector. Dr. Emmanuel Oduro, Resident MO at the Ghana-Canada Medical Centre, one of the proud sponsors, highlighted the importance of regular physical activity for maintaining a healthy lifestyle at work.
In a significant highlight of the event, Dr. Jeff Bassay, Founder and Board Chairman of the HR Certification Centre, unveiled the commencement of the Centre's 10th Anniversary celebrations.

Pearl P. Tehoda, Executive Director of the HR Certification Centre, outlined an exciting lineup of activities for the 10th Anniversary celebrations. These include an HR advocacy roadshow across tertiary institutions and businesses, the release of a documentary on the HR Certification Centre, roundtable discussions on the journey of International HR Certifications in Ghana, an HRs Connect Cocktail Event, a Grand Anniversary Celebration, and a Thanksgiving Service.

Special thanks were extended to the event sponsors, which included the Ghana-Canada Medical Centre, Juice Time, Synlab formerly Medilab Ghana, Institute of Leadership And Strategy, Centre for Business Analysis, Herbalife, and the Cocoa Processing Company, for their invaluable support. Additionally, Mrs. Ann-Bertha Adjartey, the Project Lead, received special commendation from Pearl P. Tehoda for her outstanding efforts in orchestrating a successful event. She also acknowledged the entire HR Certification Centre Staff for putting in the work.

The day concluded with all participants having the opportunity to undergo comprehensive medical checks provided by Synlab formerly Medilab Ghana, and the Ghana-Canada Medical Centre, emphasizing the event's commitment to holistic health and wellness.
Mr. Kwabena Agyekum, CEO of the CIMG, expressed his gratitude to all attendees for their active participation and urged them to continue to prioritize their health and wellness as a vital aspect of their professional life.
