HR CERTIFICATION CENTRE GRADUATES 120 HR PROFESSIONALS

On June 24, 2023, the Lancaster Hotel-Accra became the centre of celebration and inspiration as the HR Certification Centre (HRCC) hosted its prestigious graduation and induction ceremony into the Association of Certified HRs-Ghana (ACHRs). This highly anticipated event brought together 120 HR practitioners from notable institutions who had studied at the HR Certification Centre. Also in attendance were esteemed guests, including the ACHR & HRCC’s founder, Dr. Jeff Bassey,  Mr. Michael Nartey (HRCC’s Board Chair), Mrs. Mercy Amoah (HR Manager, VIVO Energy Ghana), Nana Kwabena Yeboah (HR Director, GCB Bank PLC), Ms. Gloria Darline Quartey( Principal of the National Banking College,NBC), Lawrence Ayi Ayitey (NBC), Mr. Stephen Obeng-Kwarteng (Centre for Business Analysis), and Madam Patience Apeanti of the Minerals Commission.


The evening was filled with warmth, wisdom, and a shared commitment to fostering professional growth and networking within the HR community. The attendees entered the hall, greeted with warm smiles and a sense of camaraderie. The Master of Ceremonies set the tone by delivering a heartfelt welcome note, establishing an atmosphere of celebration and appreciation for the accomplishments of the graduates and the aspirations of the inductees.

Ms. Gloria Darlene Quartey, the Principal of the National Banking College and a special advisor to the Bank of Ghana, was the special guest of honour. She captivated the audience with her insightful address. She highlighted the  theme, The Impact of People and Culture on Business Productivity, where She emphasized the need for HR professionals to adopt an intentional and proactive mindset, focusing on people and culture as the foundation of organizational success. She shared a quote in a 2022 write-up by Todd Davis, which says, “Productivity is the result of many things, but at its foundation is a winning culture.'' Ms. Quartey stressed that “the strength of any organization lies in its people; empowering and nurturing their potential while fostering a conducive work environment leads to exponential growth and sustainable success”.

When Mr. Michael Nartey, the board chairman of the HR Certification Centre,  mounted the podium to induct the graduates into the Association of Certified HRs-Ghana as Affiliate and Certified members, he emphasised the importance of networking and association. He congratulated all the graduates and new inductees, highlighting their dedication and hard work that had led them to this momentous occasion. He encouraged everyone to commit to the association, recognising it as a gateway to unlocking numerous opportunities and professional growth within the HR field.

The graduates were then presented with their well-deserved scrolls, led by the Chief Administrator of HRCC, Pearl Amoah Amponsah. This symbolized their successful completion of the programme. To solidify their commitment to the association and its values, all attendees, including the graduates and inductees, took an oath of allegiance. 

This collective act underscored the shared dedication to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethics within the HR community. The ceremony culminated in a lively networking session, allowing graduates, inductees, and esteemed guests to connect, exchange ideas, and forge valuable professional relationships.
