HR Certification Centre launched the final cohort of its Global Professional HR Certifications program for the year 2024 on Saturday, November 30th, 2024. 122 participants attended in person and online. The event brought together HR practitioners and business leaders from diverse sectors, including academia, banking and finance, hospitality, mining, telecommunications, insurance, and more.

During the orientation session, Executive Director Pearl P. Tehoda provided a compelling overview of the HR Certification Centre’s pivotal role in advancing strategic HR practices. With 14 years of operational excellence and 10 years dedicated to professional HR certification, the Centre has positioned itself as a leader in equipping HR professionals.

Over the past decade, the Centre has trained and prepared over 4,500 HR practitioners and business leaders, contributing significantly to the HR community by fostering a workforce adept at driving organizational growth, employee engagement, and operational efficiency. This legacy underscores the Centre’s commitment to empowering HR professionals to become strategic partners in achieving business goals.

Dr. Jeff Bassay, Founder and Lead Facilitator of the HR Certification Centre, opened the 41st cohort’s journey with an engaging lecture. He addressed the pressing need for HR to align with today’s rapidly evolving business challenges. To support his topic, he quoted  Jack Welch's famous words: "When the rate of change on the outside exceeds the rate of change on the inside, the end is in sight."

He emphasized that organizations are undergoing transformative shifts in core business processes. The key pillars of this transformation include employee engagement, customer preferences, state laws and regulations, and cash flow management, all of which are crucial for thriving in competitive industries. To stay relevant and make a lasting impact, HR must evolve from a traditional administrative-focused role to a proactive, strategic partner within the organization by aligning HR Strategy with business strategy to gain competitive advantage.

Dr. Bassay concluded by highlighting on the transformative role of HR, stating, “Aligning people strategy with business strategy is the key to driving growth and giving purpose to HR.”

The HR Certification Centre proudly welcomes its 41st cohort, reaffirming its dedication to providing top-tier training, coaching, and strategic insights.
