HR Certification Centre Launches National HR Mentorship Cohort 10 with Focus on Upskilling for the Future of Work

The HR Certification Centre, renowned for its excellence in the field of Human Resources, recently conducted the orientation for the highly anticipated National HR Mentorship Cohort 10 for the year 2024. The event was held virtually and garnered over 400 applications, from which 150 candidates were selected. 
The atmosphere was full of an enthusiastic and focused batch of Mentees, with a collective dedication to their career growth and development. 

Miss Sophia Gogo, the Mentorship Coordinator, provided a comprehensive overview of the objectives and the schedule for the three-month mentorship program. The program encompasses 11 modules and is scheduled to take place over twelve weeks. The structured curriculum aims to enhance the learning process and equip mentees with the requisite knowledge to thrive in their HR careers.

She commended the mentees for their perseverance and emphasized the importance of taking the program seriously, highlighting its potential to enhance their career progression.

The Guest Speaker, Gabriel King Akpalu, who is an experienced Business Development Expert and Corporate Trainer, delivered a thought-provoking speech on the theme, “Upskilling in Technology for the Future of Work.”

He highlighted the pivotal role of mentorship in bridging the gap between past, present, and future, emphasizing the necessity for HR professionals to adeptly utilize AI tools in recruitment and selection, compensation, and onboarding to advance corporate strategy. He encouraged mentees to embrace differentiation, uniqueness, and transformation in their roles as HR professionals in the era of AI.

Pearl P. Tehoda, the Executive Director of the HR Certification Centre, commended the mentees for their commitment to continuous growth and excellence. She emphasized the rapidly evolving nature of the future of HR, stressing the significance of innovation and the use of tech tools in day-to-day work. She also highlighted the imperative for HR professionals to harmonize technology with humanity, emphasizing lifelong learning, cultivating strong relationships, and leveraging emotional intelligence in effectively managing people.

Emmanuel Boabeng, representing the mentees, responded to the call following the official induction by the Executive Director. He expressed appreciation to the Centre for the opportunity to lay the necessary foundation to begin their careers as HR professionals. Moreover, he pledged that the cohort would be noted as the most exceptional cohort and strive for excellence in their roles as HR professionals in their respective organizations.

The virtual event concluded with a palpable sense of consensus toward a common goal, which is expected to flourish throughout their mentorship journey.
